Germany: Anti-Corruption bill seeking five year jail term for corrupt medics


The new Anti-Corruption Bill in Germany is seeking a five year jail term for doctors found guilty of corruption.  The Bill seeks to seal corruption loophole in the health sector, which has for decades hindered the fight against corruption in the health sector.  Lack of criminal provisions for doctors in German health law has led to corrupt practices in the health sector resulting to challenges such as rice in the cost of healthcare and ill medical practices.
