Global: Corporate bribery less investigated across the world


About half the countries that signed Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) anti-bribery convention actually do investigate corporate bribery.  "By signing up to the OECD anti-bribery convention, governments commit to investigate and prosecute cross-border corruption, yet nearly half of signatory governments are not doing so," complained TI chief Jose Ugaz. About 22 countries out of 41 countries that signed the convention have complied.
