Malaysia: High Ranking Civil Servants detained for corruption

High Ranking Civil Servants in Malaysia have been detained for corruption. Malaysia's Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has also frozen assets worth millions of dollars belonging to three civil servants, two of whom hold honorifics typically reserved for high ranking or accomplished individuals. Global: FIFA case trials begin in September/October

Corruption cases involving FIFA executive officials will begin in September or October, 2016. The trial would involve seven former soccer officials and one ex-marketing executive who are among the 42 individuals and entities charged so far in a case that has rocked the soccer world. All eight defendants had previously pleaded not guilty.
